Festival Memorabilia

This year's Singapore Arts Festival sees a first with official merchandise produced by emerging local visual art collective Monochroma, as well as individual artists Antz, Mod-vibes, Nurasyikin Hamzah, Safaruddin Hamid, Shuffle Art, TraseOne and Zero. The various artists will be collaborating to produce exclusive merchandise for the 2007 Arts Festival including limited edition t-shirts, ShuffleArt skins and artworks which represent their interpretation of selected shows. Look out these exciting merchandise at the various Festival venues!
To commemorate the celebration of 21st edition of the Arts Festival as well as its 30th anniversary, the range carries the label: 2+1=3+0 (twoplusoneequalsthreepluszero)
The merchandise is available at selected performance venues during the run of the Singapore Arts Festival.

Festival T shirt + Ipod Skins + Decals

The images for the Festival campaign featured a cocoon from which
a flying muse emerges to reflect the soaring new heights of creative
vibrancy, vigor and radiance. The flowing tendrils of the Festival Tshirt is
the artists' interpretation of this theme.

The Map and Paper Concerto

The motif on the T shirt is inspired by the percussive instruments made of paper as well as the instruments such as cymbals used by the Chinese minority tribes featured in the Map.

The limited edition T shirts feature a game joystick while motifs on the
ipod video skins, (some stylishly studded with crystals), feature video game icons.


Mabou Mines' Dollhouse

Monochroma has focused on the interesting casting of the 6 foot tall actresses and 4 foot tall men in the play and reflected this on the T shirt design and painting. Dyn has created a T shirt inspired by the doll house set of a Victorian home featured in the play. The chandelier motif is formed through the clever juxta positioning of a variety of funiture pieces of that period.


Romeo and Juliet

A set of hand-painted knife holders reflect the feuding Capulets and the Montegues as well as the star-crossed lovers final scene by Traseone and ZERO.
Each set comprises 5 knives.

Sinfonia Eroica

To reflect the playful and sensually fluid choreography of the
work, Mod-vibes has chosen to create variously shaped
earrings and necklaces, as well as silk screen art works with a
water motif.

The dramatic set of loose-leaved books which are sent
flying through by movement master Saburo
Teshigawara is reflected in the T shirt design inspired by
this brilliant dance choreography.
